Amorphous Greg Merritt and Alex Garay met in 1989, and immediately hit it off both as friends and as musical collaborators. In 1991 the songwriting duo met up with percussionists Keith Giordano and Brad Blackman, harmonica player Rick Francis, and drummer Dave Migliore. Over 30 songs were written by Greg and Alex before the band's demise in 1993 - some of which would later appear on Good Friend and BuzzUniverse records.
